Glow in the dark and Reflective Halloween Jewelry
GTU Friday October 17, 2014
Lisa Berrett
Supplies
Duct Tape
Glow in the dark Duct Tape
Jewelry findings
Plastic spiders
Ruler
Velcro
Beads
Beading wire
Instructions
I cut a piece of duct tape about 8 inches long; this gives you enough to play with.
I fold the duct tape in half and cut a small piece of Velcro to add to the ends of the bracelet.
With the Reflective tape I put a small strip down the middle of the bracelet so you can still see the sides of the cute duct tape.
Add any fun jewelry findings you have to your bracelet.
You can make necklace and Trick or Treat bags with the glow in the dark tape or reflective tape.
Just a little goes a long way and to keep you and your kids safe on Halloween .
First I gathered all my supplies together. You will need 8 3 inch head pins that you bead any way you want your legs of your spider to look. Set aside, and make sure you turn up the edge of the head pin.
For the body I use 12mm bead and for the head a 10 mm bead. I use bead huggers on each end of the bead, add the body, then string on the 8 head pins lined with your beaded legs
After I get the spider done I use a little hot glue right on the center. This will make the legs stay where you want them.
Styrofoam Spider:
Body is made from 2 inch Styrofoam ball. Head is 11/2 inch Styrofoam ball.
If you want to use wire instead of head pins just hot glue them in the body and add a bead on the end, this is cute too.
I added the Bead huggers on the front of the head and the back of the spider.
The legs are make from pipe cleaners. Cut in 3 inches, add on your beads, and twist the bottom so the beads don't fall off.
With a little hot glue, stick the legs right into the body so they stay put.
Add wiggly eyes and your spider is ready for Halloween
Tips:
You can use glitter on the Styrofoam if you'd like a little bling.
Use wire instead of headpins and it looks cute too.
Instructions
1. The first thing I did was to choose what kind of fun treats I wanted to create then I was off to Roberts to choose my Icings, little boxes, chocolates and cake stands
2. First I painted the bottom of my cake stands and legs so they looked great for Halloween (ya know its all in the presentation) then I cut my Halloween paper to fit the top of the stand this will make a cute place for all my treats to have a home till they are eaten
3. I used glue dots to hold my paper in place you want to be able to use these stands for all kinds of things so Black is a great color that works with all the holidays
4. Then I washed my grapes this is our favorite at the Berrett home melded my chocolate and drenched my grapes in the chocolate and put them in my fun cups to set up (make sure your grapes are clean and dry)
5. Any snack is dippable and our chocolates are great for that I found its works best by putting the chocolates in the microwave for 1 minutes this makes a perfect smoothness to drizzle over your treats
6. Once your chocolate is set up its time to use our fun frostings and Gels to decorate your treats
7. We have candy molds that are great and lots of fun
8. The Kids will have a ball

I used 3 inch head pins and started to layer my beads with my spacers, you want 8 of them and set aside
Using one of my biggest beads 12mm for the body and 8mm for the head I lined them up on my head pin dividing them with my 8 head pins for the legs.
Then turned the tip of the head pin in using my pliers
You will want to add a little hot glue to the legs once you get them how you like so they stay put
Foam spider
Body is a 1 1/2 inch foam ball
Head is a 1 inch foam ball you will want to hot glue them together
for the spider legs I cut 8 3 inch pieces of pipe cleaner and added 3 beads to the legs,I added a small dot of hot glue and stuck them into the body so they didn't come out
I used a bead hugger to the front of the head and the back of the spider and hot glued this on also, we don't want him coming apart
2 small wiggly eyes are always fun to add
This was such a fun craft project to do the kids loved helping! I will be showing how to do this on GTU #4 this Friday October 15 at 10am
